Based on the agreement we have in place, not all our network locations are called Jayla’s Flowers. While we are a local florist, we operate like a flower shop franchise.

In fact, we are looking for start-up floral shops to join us. In addition, we are interested in acquiring more flower shops.

In November of 2016, Surety Private Money provided capital for the renovation of a old building in Nappanee, Indiana which was going to serve as a business incubator.  The first start-up was Stacy B’s Flowers.he only surviving tenant, the old building had to be sold.

In June of 2018, the owner of the company was ready to move on. Rohena Holdings decided to acquire the company. The silk arrangement portion of the business remain Stacy B’s, the flower shop business was named Jayla’s Flowers after the owners daugther. The gift baskets, chocolates, teddy bears and other add-on gift items was named Jayden’s Famous after the owners son. The funeral trinkets like lanterns, chimes, memory blankets, and ceramic stones became Always Hearts.

After running the business for a few months, the owner realized how much profit the business was losing to 3rd party wired services like Bloomnet, FTD, and Teleflora.

In September of 2018, Jayla’s Flowers cancelled all of these contracts, paid a few penalties for doing so, and then formed a new partnership with a network of local florist whom felt the same about these wire services. The timing could not have been more perfect as we all know what happened in 2019.

Covid-19 did not stop Jayla’s Flowers from operating, but, it did impact in-person sales. The need for a pretty website with good SEO leads led to the hiring of Monkeyhouse Marketing. This addition to the team along with the power of our network of peer-to-peer local florist led to a record year in 2020.

Unfortunately, some of the other tenants in the old building were not as fortunate. DIR Incorporated, Gideon’s Closet, and Maplewoods Property Management Group all shut-down permenantly. With Jayla’s flowers as the only surviving tenant, the old building had to be sold.

In 2021, the city of Nappanee acquired the old building and made much needed extra parking space, especially for the Nappanee Apple Festival which is the towns biggest event. Jayla’s moved into a new location a few blocks down across from the Post Office, which increased its visibility, plus, it shared the Key Bank parking lot to accomodate more walk-in customers.

Currently, Jayla’s Flowers is in negotiation to expand in Plymouth (January 2022), Middlebury (March 2022), and Warsaw (June 2022), Indiana.
